During her message, the preacher addressed young women who strive for high-level achievements, stressing that while education and ambition are commendable, they should not overshadow biblical principles and marital responsibilities.

“Even me, I have a career, two master’s degrees and a PhD,” she emphasized. “If you cannot take control and be under a man, you don’t know what you’re doing.”

She then cautioned women against drawing inspiration from people who failed in their marriages, noting that misplaced mentorship often misleads women into prioritising independence over partnership.

“People who have failed in their marriages are the ones teaching you how to do marriage right now,” she said. “The person you are looking up to should be your role model. The fact that Sarah in the Bible called her husband ‘Lord’ should be enough guidance for you.”

Pastor Eno’s teaching sparked widespread reactions across social media platforms. Supporters applauded her for defending traditional Christian family values, praising her message of humility, respect, and partnership in marriage.

However, critics argued that her stance reinforces outdated gender expectations, insisting that a woman can be equally powerful in her career and marriage without submitting in the way she described. They stressed modern marriages thrive on mutual respect, emotional intelligence, and shared leadership.

Despite the divided opinions, Pastor Eno doubled down on her message, insisting that career success should not come at the cost of harmony at home. She encouraged women to embrace balance, stating that achievements and degrees only complement— not replace— a healthy marriage built on biblical foundations.

Her sermon has since continued to trend, sparking broader conversations about gender roles, modern marriage, faith, and the evolving identity of women in society.
