Veteran Nollywood actress, Mercy Johnson-Okojie, has voiced strong condemnation over the arrest of Regina Daniels’ brother, Sammy West, who was reportedly detained over allegations of criminal conspiracy and trespass linked to Ned Nwoko.
Mercy revealed that Sammy has been held without access to visitors for two days. She claimed he was flown from Lagos to Abuja and taken directly to court, raising serious concerns about his treatment and legal rights.

In an emotional Instagram Story, Mercy Johnson wrote:
“The worst form of injustice is pretended justice. How did we get here? Nigeria… wow.”
She added hashtags #WhereIsSamuel and #IreesaMuelojeAgwu to highlight Sammy’s welfare and call for transparency in the legal process.
The post sparked widespread reactions from fans and fellow celebrities, many condemning the alleged abuse of power and demanding accountability from those involved.
Regina Daniels’ brother, Sweezy Daniels, also spoke out, accusing Ned Nwoko of misusing power and launching a petition to rally public support and demand justice for Sammy.
Social media erupted with responses to Mercy Johnson’s statement, expressing shock, solidarity, and calls for immediate action. Comments included: “This is heartbreaking. How can a child be treated like this?” and “Mercy Johnson is speaking the truth. Nigerians need answers.”
