Renowned Nigerian marriage counsellor and family life expert, Pastor Bisi Adewale, has once again become a trending topic on social media after making a daring statement about intimacy in marriage. The outspoken pastor, known for his unfiltered teachings on relationships and family values, delivered a message that many Nigerians have described as both shocking and refreshingly honest.

During his appearance on the popular talk show, The Honest Bunch Podcast, Pastor Adewale passionately addressed the issue of sexual satisfaction in marriage. He cautioned singles and married couples alike against neglecting or undervaluing the role of physical intimacy in building strong and happy homes.

According to him, many marital problems arise not from money or communication issues but from partners who are emotionally disconnected and physically dissatisfied. He emphasized that intimacy is not a taboo subject but an essential part of marriage that must be openly discussed and enjoyed by both partners.

In his own words, he said:

“If you don’t like love making, please don’t get married. All these missionary people normally do in marriages must stop. There’s nowhere in the Bible that says women shouldn’t be at the top.”

The pastor’s bold remarks quickly went viral, with thousands of Nigerians sharing their thoughts on various platforms such as X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, and Facebook. The clip has sparked intense debates, dividing opinions among believers and non-believers alike.

While some hailed Pastor Adewale for being courageous enough to talk about topics many religious leaders shy away from, others criticized his choice of words, arguing that such explicit discussions should be kept off the pulpit or public interviews.

Supporters of the pastor, however, commended him for shedding light on what they consider one of the most ignored issues in Christian marriages. They argued that many relationships fail because couples lack knowledge or are too ashamed to talk about their sexual needs.

A few online users also pointed out that his statement was not about immorality but about understanding the importance of intimacy in maintaining a loving and balanced marriage. Some women praised him for empowering them to embrace confidence and openness in the bedroom, describing his message as “a wake-up call for couples hiding behind religion.”

Critics, however, maintained that the pastor’s tone was too blunt, suggesting that his message could have been delivered in a more conservative manner. Despite the backlash, Pastor Adewale appears unbothered, as he has continued to share similar teachings on his social media pages, urging couples to prioritize connection, communication, and satisfaction in their relationships.

Love him or not, Pastor Bisi Adewale has once again succeeded in stirring a national conversation about what truly sustains marriages beyond ceremonies and prayers — reminding many that love, faith, and passion must coexist for unions to thrive.
