According to Sarah Martins, she has made it a personal commitment to dedicate a portion of her income every month to feeding and caring for those in need. She revealed that she spends no less than ₦1.5 million monthly cooking and distributing food to the poor and homeless, describing this act as her own version of paying tithe. For her, this is not just charity—it is a way of worship and gratitude to God for His blessings in her life.

Sarah Martins’ unfortunate experience

It will be recalled that the actress once had an unpleasant encounter in Lagos when she was chased away while cooking for the less privileged on the streets. Despite the incident, it unexpectedly attracted a massive ₦20 million gift from a generous supporter who admired her compassion and determination to help others.

She said …

“I feel like giving my all to the streets. I don’t go to church. I don’t pay tithe. So the only way I pay tithe is by doing charity. And God has been blessing me through that. You get it. I’m not a churchgoer. I don’t believe in giving my money to any pastor. I don’t do that. Right. I will bring out the money. I will pray to God. I say, God, this is what I’ve made this month. And this is what I, because every month I spend no less than 1.5 million Naira every month on cooking on the streets. That’s the least I spend. That’s the least I spend monthly just for cooking.”
